Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. Logan County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained as needed to answer it. Messages stay within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal duty.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page can cause the servers to record routine technical details about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Logan County Criminal History does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Logan County Sheriff's Department, District and Circuit courts, Kentucky State Police, and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into a third-party criminal file or consumer report. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. A query submitted there is governed by that provider's privacy policy. Each provider decides how it retains and shares data, so review its terms before sending a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Logan County offices, Kentucky courts and agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination's privacy terms control. Check them before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to track activity across websites and select ads. Their technology and policies govern that tracking.

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be disclosed to:
- Search providers that receive a query through their tools

Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide added rights. Kentucky official-record access and criminal-history dissemination are separately governed by the Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.870 through 61.884, and KRS 17.150. Those laws do not turn this private site into a records custodian. With respect to data held here, a visitor may:
- Request a copy of personal data held about that visitor
- Ask that inaccurate personal data be corrected
- Request deletion where applicable law permits it
- Opt out of certain processing when that option is available
